West Mersea Summer Beach Clean 2026
Join our litter pick and help protect our ocean, wildlife and local coastline! Every piece of litter removed contributes to a cleaner, healthier future for both people and nature. By carrying out a simple litter survey as we clean, you'll also be contributing to real scientific research. The data collected will become part of a global database, helping scientists better understand littering patterns and develop more effective solutions to tackle marine pollution. ππ We'll meet at 10:15am at Two Sugars CafΓ©, where you'll have the chance to grab a drink, meet everyone, and take part in a short briefing. During this, we'll cover the health and safety information, explain how the litter survey works, and complete consent forms for participants under 16 and anyone happy to be photographed. The litter pick will begin at 11:15am and last approximately one hour. Afterwards, we'll head back to the cafΓ© for a short post-clean debrief.
