Hastings, Rock-a-Nore
This event is being run by the Wonky WI, in conjunction with Strandliners. The main aim is to survey 100 metres beach for marine pollution, but we will also be doing a larger beach clean. We will provide litter pickers, gloves, and bags. Please wear appropriate footwear and be prepared for any weather whilst on the beach. A drink and a snack may be good as well. Strandliners has run beach surveys since 2004. We believe that to reduce the plastic pollution found, we need to understand what it is and collect the data as evidence to lobby for change. The process is quite forensic, and is wonderful when we have a larger group because we all have our own knowledge of what "things" are!
