GBBC Beach Clean Porth Beach Newquay supported by Newquay Blue Balls
As part of the Marine Conservation Society's Great British Beach Clean 2026. Newquay Blue Balls 'Men's cold water dipping group for locals and visitors' will be completing a litter survey and beach clean. This event is open to all ages, but please note that under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Due to limited equipment, we kindly ask that you register your interest in advance to ensure your spot. All necessary equipment will be provided for the clean-up. However, you are welcome to bring your own gloves if you prefer (gardening gloves work well). Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable footwear. Remember to bring water in a reusable bottle, as beach cleaning can be thirsty work! We encourage the use of sustainable transport to the event. The local train station is a 20 minute walk from the beach, and there are cycle racks available at the side of the beach. If you are driving, the nearest car park is located in front of Porth Beach Holiday Park with the postcode TR7 3NH. The clean and litter survey will last between 60-90 minutes depending on how much litter we find. The nearest public toilets to the beach are located by the wishing well. We'll be kicking off promptly at 17:30, so please allow enough time to get down to the beach from the car park.
