The Braighe, Isle of Lewis - Great British Beach Clean September 2026
Join us for a beach clean and conduct a litter survey during Great British Beach Clean week to help the Marine Conservation Society gather vital data to keep pushing for the reduction of marine litter. The Great British Beach Clean is a week-long citizen science event taking place between Friday 18th - Sunday 27th September 2026, where hundreds of beach cleans take place up and down the UK. We will meet on the beach - you'll be able to spot our orange marker flags. The beach clean will run from 1pm - 2pm. There will then be some additional family friendly activities available from 2pm - 3pm including a self-led scavenger hunt and some beach art with some wee prizes to be won! There is car parking available at the Melbost Beach Car Park, please take care when crossing the road.
