Dunster Beach - Great British Beach Clean
Come along and help with a mass beach clean of Dunster Beach and the surrounding area. This is part of the Marine Conservation Society's Great British Beach Clean and is being run in conjunction with Plastic Free Exmoor, Dunster Beach Holidays and Plastic Free Communities in West Somerset. We will be carrying out a detailed survey of the types of litter found on a small stretch of beach (counting and weighing) to add to the MCS database as well as carrying out a general beach clean. We will provide litter pickers and sacks for collecting litter. We recommend that volunteers bring a rucksack with a few essential items such as sunscreen, waterproofs and perhaps some snacks and a drink. We also advise volunteers to bring a strong pair of gloves for protection when they are picking up litter.
