Normans Bay - National Beach Cleaning Week 2026
Local Residents will be cleaning up the beach at Normans Bay on the 25th of September (Friday) as part of the the national beach cleaning week.
We plan to spend 1.5 hours cleaning the beach, between 10.30-12pm.
What you need to bring:
1. Packed lunch & voltuneers to bring their own drinks/refreshments.
2. Suitable footwear - hiking boots/waterproof shoes with a good level of support for your feet (the beach is pebbled).
3. Gloves - gardening gloves are fine.
4. Hand picker (not essential but if you have one please bring it - these will not be provided on the day).
5. A bag to collect your rubbish (this can be a bin liner or a bag for life) - The organiser will not be providing these.
5. Water related clothing & suncream - waterproof clothing/sun hats/suncream. The organiser will have a first aid kit & a mobile phone for emergencies & hand gel.
