It's almost time for our 31st Annual General Meeting. Available to all members, this virtual event is an opportunity to hear directly from some of our staff and trustees, cast your vote at our AGM and put your questions to our Board.
This year, there'll be a talk from Dr Francesca Bevan, Policy and Advocacy Manager (Chemicals), on the topic of ‘forever chemicals’. She'll be explaining what they are, why they're so damaging to marine life, what the Marine Conservation Society is doing about it and how you can help.
You'll also hear from this year's award winners, including the inspirational winners of the Young Ocean Optimist of the Year Award.

Got a question for the AGM?
During the AGM, there'll be some time for you to ask questions, and we'll answer all questions relating to formal AGM business. If there's time, we would be delighted to answer more general questions.
To make it easier for us to answer as many questions as we can, for example by grouping them together, please send us your question(s) by emailing [email protected] no later than 8th November. We'll aim to answer your questions either on the day, or, if there isn't enough time, we'll publish answers where possible.
Voting
At the AGM, you'll be asked to vote electronically on each of the formal agenda items (or you can vote by proxy). In the event of a tied vote, the Chair will have the deciding vote in line with our governing documents. All members over the age of 18 are eligible to vote on our resolutions and your vote matters to us.
If you are unable to attend and would like to vote, you can still vote by appointing a proxy. The proxy appointment form and instructions are linked in the AGM 2022 documents section above.
