People of all ages are welcome to join us at Thurstaston for a beach clean and litter survey to celebrate Coastal Care Day, in partnership with the Wirral Wombles, Our Dee Estuary and friends.

Please note, under 16's will need to be accompanied by an adult. As there is a cap on the number of people we can provide equipment for, please register your interest here so you don't miss out.

Equipment:

All equipment will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own gloves if you prefer (gardening gloves are fine). Please dress for the weather and bring comfortable footwear. Water in a reusable bottle is advised (beach cleaning can be thirsty work!)

Pay and display parking is available at the entrance of Thurstaston (Wirral) Country Park car park (Search: CH61 0HN).

This is a sand and rocky beach, so we advise suitable footwear.

Also worth knowing…

What to bring: We’d recommend you pack a rucksack with a few essentials like sunscreen, waterproofs, hand sanitiser, and perhaps some snacks and a drink (in a reusable bottle, of course).

What to wear: If you're picking up litter with your hands it's worth wearing a strong pair of gloves - like gardening gloves - just to make sure you're protected. Sturdy shoes are a must for protection too.

Under 16s: To comply with our insurance, volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a parental / guardian consent form on the day by the beach clean organiser.

24 spaces remaining - join us on the beach whilst there’s still spaces!
