This Great British Beach Clean event involves a 15 minute walk to the starting point - and the litter survey and beach clean will last for the next 2 hours.  The beach clean starts along the Northern Sea Wall beaches (Plum Pudding)

Open to all to join in, but children will need to be supervised by a responsible adult.  Litter sticks, hoops, and bags are provided  (but please bring along your own garden gloves if you need gloves).   Please wear appropriate clothing for weather on the day (windproof/rainproof if windy &/or raining) & tough footwear for walking on the shingle beach.

Please also bring along your own water bottle, or refreshment, to quench your thirst!  (although the kiosk and Brasserie serve refreshments, for when you start or return).

Meet:  Meet outside at the front of the restaurant near their ice cream kiosk! The beach clean will involve a 10-15 minute walk to the western end of the bay, and the start of the Northern Sea Wall (Plum Pudding) beaches.

Toilets:  Please use the toilet facilities at the Minnis Bay Car Park (behind the Bar/Brasserie) before moving off to the beach clean.

Also worth knowing…

What to bring: We’d recommend you pack a rucksack with a few essentials like sunscreen, waterproofs, hand sanitiser, and perhaps some snacks and a drink (in a reusable bottle, of course).

What to wear: If you're picking up litter with your hands it's worth wearing a strong pair of gloves - like gardening gloves - just to make sure you're protected. Sturdy shoes are a must for protection too.

Under 16s: To comply with our insurance, volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a parental / guardian consent form on the day by the beach clean organiser.
