Join us on our beach clean at Gibraltar Point to help keep our environment and wildlife safe from the harm caused by litter.

The threats to both local wildlife and us from rubbish left on the beaches and washing into our seas is an on-going problem. Every bit we can do makes a difference so why not come along and help us to keep Gibraltar Point’s beach clean. All ages welcome.

Both car parks have paths that will take you down to the beach and the walk is about the same distance from both. There are toilets at the Visitor Centre car park, this is the car park at the very end of the road, after driving over the hump/sea deference. If you find this car park is full please return down the road to the North Car Park.

<br /> Equipment will be provided but if you have your own litter pickers or gloves please feel free to bring them along.

To get to the beach from the Visitor Centre follow the tarmacked path through the saltmarsh and turn left at the bottom of the stairs. From the North car park follow the path down to the beach and turn right when you reach the sandy part of the beach.

There is a fee for the car park of £2 for 2 hours or £5 for the day.

Also worth knowing…

What to bring: We’d recommend you pack a rucksack with a few essentials like sunscreen, waterproofs, hand sanitiser, and perhaps some snacks and a drink (in a reusable bottle, of course).

What to wear: If you're picking up litter with your hands it's worth wearing a strong pair of gloves - like gardening gloves - just to make sure you're protected. Sturdy shoes are a must for protection too.

Under 16s: To comply with our insurance, volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a parental / guardian consent form on the day by the beach clean organiser.
