We are excited to invite you to a partnership event between the Marine Conservation Society and Keep Wales Tidy! This event is in support of both the Great British Beach Clean 2022 and Marine Clean Cymru 2022.

Please bring along your own litter picking kit, or you can borrow equipment on the day as everything will be provided. There will also be a safety briefing at the start of the clean-up. Please bring your own gardening gloves, sensible shoes and wear weather appropriate clothing.

You’ll notice that we’ve added a what3words address to the event information. This will help you find the exact meeting point for the clean-up. Just go to and enter the unique three-word combination: asserts.pirate.until.

You must notify us if you have any underlying health problems that may affect your involvement in the activity. If you are no longer able to attend, please let us know so that we can re-allocate your place.

Please DO NOT attend the clean-up if you are feeling unwell or have tested positive for COVID-19.

Also worth knowing…

What to bring: We’d recommend you pack a rucksack with a few essentials like sunscreen, waterproofs, hand sanitiser, and perhaps some snacks and a drink (in a reusable bottle, of course).

What to wear: If you're picking up litter with your hands it's worth wearing a strong pair of gloves - like gardening gloves - just to make sure you're protected. Sturdy shoes are a must for protection too.

Under 16s: To comply with our insurance, volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a parental / guardian consent form on the day by the beach clean organiser.
