As an addition to the next CPG evening meeting on Marine Pollution, the Marine Conservation Society along with ScotLINK, Fidra and Keep Scotland Beautiful are hosting a beach clean and litter survey at Cramond beach in Edinburgh on Tuesday the 6th June at 2.30pm to which you are invited.

All beach clean equipment will be provided and there will be a briefing at 14.30 before heading down to the beach to do a beach clean and litter survey and potentially a nurdle hunt with Fidra too.

If you have your own set of gloves, please do bring them along, with suitable clothing and footwear and perhaps something to drink in a reusable bottle.

We look forward to seeing you there. If you have any questions please get in touch with Catherine on [email protected]

Also worth knowing…

What to bring: We’d recommend you pack a rucksack with a few essentials like sunscreen, waterproofs, hand sanitiser, and perhaps some snacks and a drink (in a reusable bottle, of course).

What to wear: If you're picking up litter with your hands it's worth wearing a strong pair of gloves - like gardening gloves - just to make sure you're protected. Sturdy shoes are a must for protection too.

Under 16s: To comply with our insurance, volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a parental / guardian consent form on the day by the beach clean organiser.
