Senior Pollution Campaigns Officer
Emma has worked on marine litter at the Marine Conservation Society since 2007. Alongside numerous targeted campaigns, including wet-wipes, plastic bags and straws, she coordinated the charity’s Beachwatch campaign - the UK’s largest beach clean-up and litter survey. In 2011 she became the organisations first Pollution Campaigns Officer, focusing on changing public behaviour towards littering and single-use plastics. Emma instigated the Marine Litter Action Network (MLAN) to bring together people and organisations from different sectors to holistically tackle the issue of marine litter through collaboration and innovation. As the charity’s Senior Clean Seas Advocate, she now focuses on the reduction of single use plastic within business and industry.
