Compass, the UK’s leading food service provider, partnered with MCS in 2015 to help communicate MCS’ sustainable seafood advice to hundreds of thousands of new people. Compass funded the development and distribution of thousands of our pocket Good Fish Guides as well as radically re-developing the Good Fish Guide app. Through doing so, MCS has been able to increase its reach and encourage more people and businesses to make an informed decision when buying seafood.
As part of this strategic partnership, MCS creates blog content for Compass’s website and attends Expos and events to communicate the work we do. In 2017, with the generous support of Compass, MCS held at the famous Roux at Parliament Square restaurant to bring people together that care passionately about our seas; a perfect setting joined by Members of Parliament, including the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Environment and Rural Life Opportunities, Dr Therese Coffey MP and other key influencers in this sphere.
Duncan Gray, Corporate Responsibility Manager at Compass Group UK & Ireland, says, “we’re delighted to be able to support and promote the MCS Good Fish Guide. We are passionate about sustainable seafood and recognise our responsibility to help guard our seas from the immense pressure of seafood production. It can be very confusing sometimes to navigate the sustainable fish waters, so we are delighted to partner with the MCS and provide our customers with a quick and informative Good Fish Guide App, which will help them make sustainable seafood choices more easily.”
MCS is pleased to continue its partnership with Compass into 2018.Back to the list
