South West Coast 50 Challenge
This challenge covers some of the UK's stunning Coastal Path which officially starts in Minehead, on a looped route starting from the impressive Dunster Castle. Walk, jog or run up and over the rolling hills of Exmoor.

Run the ‘South West’ challenge for 2024. Taking in the first Minehead section of the stunning and famous 630 mile Coastal Path, and with an extensive ‘basecamp’ in the shadows of the impressive Dunster Castle.
You can pick your distance. The full 50km loop heads over Exmoor with ups and downs and some magnificent views, with over 1600m of climb. You’ll get full support all the way to the finish, and with three 25 km options, plus a family-friendly Dunster 10km event – along with camping options and festival style hospitality at basecamp across the weekend – there’s a South West Coast Challenge for everyone!
How to enter
Choose your funding option
Option 1 – Charity Sponsorship - Pay a small registration fee and commit to fundraise a minimum amount. Fees from £10 - £20 plus a commitment to raise funds for us*
Option 2 – Mixed Funding - Pay half your place, and commit to fundraise a smaller amount. Fees from £45 - £72.50 plus a commitment to raise funds for us*

Option 3 - Self Fund – you pay the full cost of the event place - fundraise whatever you want, with no set target or deadline, and there’s no cost at all to the charity! 10km: £39 25km: £89 50km: £139

T&Cs
All sponsorship goes direct to the Marine Conservation Society via your online JustGiving page. At least 50% of the sponsorship target should be with us by 3 weeks prior to the Challenge. Failure to meet the deadline may result in cancellation of your place. The remaining 50%, and any extra, should be with the Marine Conservation Society by 4 weeks after the Challenge.
