A sleek, silvery fish with a torpedo shape. Fast swimming, but may shelter amongst pier leg.

Really does have “lips” that it uses to graze on a diet of muddy algae and invertebrates.

Location

Southern coasts. Best piers: Mumbles, Teignmouth.
