Life’s a beach…”ain’t that the truth” for all of us Sea Champions! I became a Sea Champion as I was setting up a (now seven year old) volunteer group called “GRAB”, working closely with our local community, cleaning our beaches, teaching on the beach and sharing precious information about the local wild life we are helping to protect. I have also been working with local schools with support from my MCS coordinators Ed Santry and Kate Whitton.
- Taking classes of children to the beach and letting them ‘loose on litter’.
- Organising MCS GBBC surveys and getting the whole community involved.
- Living a plastic free lifestyle sharing those experiences with local businesses.
- Running workshops for friends and families.
