Alex Milden - from Lostwithiel, Cornwall
I became a Sea Champion because I’ve been trying to find the right volunteering programme for me – at university there are so many options to volunteer but being a Sea Champion allows me to tailor my volunteering to suit my interests and my free time. Sea Champions is helping me gain a lot of experience in the field.
What are the highlights so far?
The highlights for me have been the Ecover Blue Mile schools event where I led the workshops for schools with Maya Plass – these were amazing experiences because I was teaching the subject that I’m most passionate about. It has also been really great to meet and lead other Sea Champions in beach cleans and surveys at beautiful locations like Gwithian and Talland Bay.Back to the list
