Scottish seas - the referendum Posted 16th September 2014 Will Scotland vote to stay part of the UK, or will it become independent? We thought we’d share what the “Yes Scotland” and “Better Together” camps have said to MCS supporters in the most recent edition of Marine Conservation magazine, as we head towards Thursday’s historic vote. We asked the two camps to outline their views on Scottish seas,so everyone voting on September 18th will have a clear picture of the position of their respective constitutional preference. Whatever the result, MCS will accept the people of Scotland’s decision and will continue to work for improved marine conservation for Scotland within whatever constitutional arrangements the people decide to make.
