Our CEO Sandy Luk becomes an #oceanhero by joining Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Jodie Kidd at Sky’s Plastic Whale launch in London. A beautiful whale with an ugly truth.

Eight million tonnes of plastic are polluting the world’s oceans every year. A 10-metre whale made from single-use plastic is on a tour of the UK to highlight the problem.

Actions you can take

  1. Download the Great British Beach Clean Report 2017
  2. Help stop the plastic tide
  3. View the Sky Ocean Rescue news video
  4. Join a beach clean

Did you know?…

To date, our beach cleans have removed 6 million pieces of litter

It’s estimated that one rubbish truck load of plastic litter enters the ocean every minute

Over time, one plastic bottle bobbing along in the ocean can break down in to hundreds of tiny plastic pieces
