Director of Engagement and Communications

Contract: Permanent, full-time
Salary: circa £55,000 dependent on experience
Location: Role will require regular visits to our offices in Ross-on-Wye, and occasionally to our offices in London
Process: Applications on a rolling basis – we reserve the right to close the vacancy when an appointment has been made

The stakes are high, so we cannot leave the future of our seas to chance. We need an exceptional individual to join us as Director of Engagement & Communications in order to bring our vision to life for our audiences. This role will be part of the Senior Management Team and lead our communications and volunteer and stakeholder engagement strategies which champion the MCS brand and generates real impact through public support and engagement.

This is a role for someone who can demonstrate strong leadership with strategic, as well as tactical, ability – both courageous in taking the organisation forward, and perceptive in bringing our teams with you. You will be confident and resilient – enjoying working with senior stakeholders and developing your team to be great at what they do.
