Funds available to clean up beaches affected by printer cartridges A storm at sea in 2014 resulted in the loss of HP printer cartridges which are being found washed up on UK and European coastlines. The HP Beach Clean Up Fund has been set up by HP in conjunction with the Marine Conservation Society and Newquay Beachcombing. The fund will support non-profit organisations, individuals and local authorities who are undertaking, or planning to undertake beach litter clean ups on UK beaches in areas where HP cartridges have been found. Applications are invited that meet the criteria set out in the HP Beach Clean Up Fund Application Form. Application deadline: 4th March 2016 A Grants Panel of representatives from MCS, Keep Britain Tidy, Newquay Beachcombing and 2 Minute Beach Clean will review applications and grants will be awarded by the end of March 2016. Cartridge Collection and Recycling Service HP has also set up a cartridge collection and recycling service for safe disposal of any cartridges found, so please use the contact details below to report any cartridges you find.
