Are endangered skates and sharks ending up on our dinner plates? Despite threatened status some species are seemingly fetching good money when landed. After extensive research by our Fisheries team, we’re increasingly concerned that some critically endangered fish species might be on sale to the public despite a prohibiton on landing them. We believe consumers could be buying fish listed as Fish to Avoid or rated 5 on the Good Fish Guide fish ratings website (www.goodfishguide.org) and so are inadvertently slowing recovery or contributing to species decline.
