More for you, and more for our seas - choose MCS with your M&S Sparks card!
The Sparks members club gives M&S customers offers and benefits every time they shop. If you shop in M&S, pick up a Sparks card, and when you register your Sparks card online, you can choose a charity to support. Please consider selecting the Marine Conservation Society as we will receive 1p from M&S for every transaction made to help fund our work to protect our seas.
Open to everyone, customers can collect Sparks points every time they shop in M&S stores and online to unlock benefits including tailor-made offers, priority access and exciting money-can’t-buy experiences such as a wine tasting trip to South Africa.
Mike Crossley, MCS Director of Fundraising and Marketing, said: “We were delighted to have been chosen as a charity to support through Sparks. When customers choose us, they know they’ll be directly supporting our work to get our seas and beaches clean, to see only sustainable seafood for sale, and to protect our fabulous but threatened marine wildlife”.
Your support for MCS is vital: we have cleaned close to 5,000 km of coastline, inspiring 110,000 volunteers to help us remove over 6 million pieces of litter. We’ve used the data recorded to help us secure a charge on single-use carrier bags in the UK, and convinced businesses and local authorities to ban releases of balloons that harm marine life. We’re making sure that there’s a proper network of protected areas in seas around the UK, and we’ve helped get the Common Fisheries Policy changed for the better. We research, rate and report on over 150 seafood species every year guiding consumers, the food industry and even the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and Masterchef on the most sustainable seafood choices.
Pick up your Sparks card in your local M&S store today and select MCS as your chosen charity.
Support from M&S has enabled us to clear over 100 tonnes of rubbish from UK shores through our Big Beach Clean-ups, and to grow our volunteer network of active Sea Champions around the UK.
