Do Something Amazing on World Oceans Day... or any other day of the year!
Celebrate our amazing seas and marine wildlife by creating your own blue planet. Make it a dress-down day at work or school, you could decorate your desk or hold a sustainable fish supper with friends.
Big Blue Day
All you need is a group of people and some blue stuff - it’s that easy!
Get your friends, family and colleagues involved in a day that will be lots of fun whilst raising funds to help MCS continue its work for our seas.
Here are a few ideas
- You could have a blue themed dress down day in the office or at school - £2 not to wear work clothes or uniform.
- Bake some blueberry muffins and sell them to colleagues or have a coffee morning and ask for donations.
- Invite your friends over for a sustainable seafood supper using our sustainable seafood advice to raise funds to protect our oceans.
For more information and ideas you can download our fundraising pack and your Big Blue Day poster (below) or get in touch with our Fundraising Team fundraising@mcsuk.org.
Whatever you do, do it in blue and don’t forget that every penny really does count!
World Oceans Day
Celebrate our oceans on June 8th and go blue for the sea!
World Oceans Day is one day across the planet when everyone can do something to help our oceans. It’s your chance to tell people why our seas are so special and what you think needs to be done to keep it that way.
Whether your interest is to protect marine wildlife, reduce the impact of overfishing or to clean up beach litter - June 8th is your chance to spread the word about marine conservation by organising a Big Blue Day.
