What's your vision for the future?

We’re in the midst of huge political change. The UK Government is about to introduce a ‘Great Repeal Bill’ which will transfer many elements of existing EU regulations and laws into UK legislation. UK governments will then be able to amend, repeal and improve the laws as they deem necessary.

Last year, MCS supporters helped save the Nature Directives - the European laws which protect some of our most vulnerable wildlife and mean we have Special Areas of Conservation in UK seas today. Now, that same legislation (and other environment laws) are threatened by this bill.

We urgently need to make sure that our environment laws are not weakened, or left vulnerable to future change away from the watchful gaze of the public and Parliament.

We need to make sure that everything we’ve fought so hard to achieve remains in place. This is an important time for your voice to be heard.

Take action!

Please contact your MP and remind them of their crucial role in defending our environmental laws, and ensuring they are not left vulnerable to future change.
