Help clean Sand Bay Beach in collaboration with the Marine Conservation Society and North Somerset Council!!

Some equipment will be provided for (such as litter pickers, bags and gloves) but please bring some if you have any. To reduce the amount of plastic bags we use to collect the litter in please bring a bucket or a reusable bag if you can.

How to find us:
There is a car park at the South of Sand Bay - the nearest postcode is BS22 9UU, near the Priory School of Motoring. There is another car park near the Commodore Hotel (BS22 9UZ).
When you arrive, meet us on the beach opposite The Commodore Hotel.

Please dress for the weather: wear sturdy shoes, wrap up warm and bring some sun cream!

Under 16s must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and will be asked to fill in a consent form on arrival.

  • I agree to read and follow the information relating to Health and Safety available in the organiser guide.
  • I agree to carry out a risk assessment in advance of Beachwatch events and I will keep a written record of these assessments.
  • I will record the details of any accident or incident of concern during the event and report this to MCS.
  • I will give a Health and Safety briefing to any volunteers before events start.
  • I understand that I must not supervise young volunteers under 16 years of age, nor allow anybody who is not their legally responsible adult to supervise them (some examples of legally responsible adults include: their parent, guardian, school teacher or guide leader).
  • I understand that if no surveys have been conducted within three years my beach will become available for others.
