This is the event being run by MSP Jenny Gilruth that has had to move from Leven due to a Pollution incident but all volunteers are invited to head to Lower Largo to still help take part in the Great British Beach Clean and gather important data on the litter found on our beaches and to pick up as much as we can!
All volunteers are welcome! (Children must be accompanied by an adult).

Please wear waterproof clothing and suitable clothing.

Equipment will be provided on the day, but please make your intention to attend the beach clean known in adavnce as equipment is limited.

The event will start at 11.30 and the meeting point is now outside the Crusoe Hotel. Apologies for the change in location but we still hope to see you there!

  • I agree to read and follow the information relating to Health and Safety available in the organiser guide.
  • I agree to carry out a risk assessment in advance of Beachwatch events and I will keep a written record of these assessments.
  • I will record the details of any accident or incident of concern during the event and report this to MCS.
  • I will give a Health and Safety briefing to any volunteers before events start.
  • I understand that I must not supervise young volunteers under 16 years of age, nor allow anybody who is not their legally responsible adult to supervise them (some examples of legally responsible adults include: their parent, guardian, school teacher or guide leader).
  • I understand that if no surveys have been conducted within three years my beach will become available for others.
