Great British Beach Clean (3rd weekend in Sep)
Date & time:
Saturday, 15 September 2018 - 11:45am - 1:00pm
Meeting location:
Heacham
Additional information:

Hi!
- Just to let you know This is a surveyed event. The Great British Beach Clean is part of the International Coastal Cleanup and the data that we will collect will represent the UK entry to the Globe Trash Tally. You will be joining thousands of like-minded people around the world taking positive action to clean up our oceans.

- We will work along a 100m stretch in pairs or groups and as We pick up the litter, we will record it on a survey form.
The data we collect feeds into the International Coastal Cleanup to build a bigger picture of litter types and where it comes from.

You can of course carry on cleaning as much of the beach as you like in the time you have on the day.
If you have gloves and pickers, please bring them along. Children must be accompanied by their legal guardian.

See you at the Left hand side of the Boat Launch Ramp - Just off Jubilee Bridge- at 11:45. :)
If you have any questions please send me a message.

A note from Beachwatch to prospective volunteers not yet registered for this event: are you trying to register and can't? This is because there is a volunteer limit on this event to restrict numbers. Why restrict numbers? Sourcing enough equipment for and managing large groups of people can be tricky! If you are keen to clean please get in touch with Beachwatch to chat about any other nearby beach cleans, thank you.
