Additional information: 

Strict limits on numbers at this event - registration is essential, especially for schools (see below). Gloves or litter picks not supplied. Volunteers must wear old clothes and protective footwear.

Any school or college wishing to take part in the event MUST contact the National Trust Visitor Experience and Learning Team at least 2 weeks in advance, either by phone at 01704 878591 option 3 or by email at Formbylearning@nationaltrust.org.uk. Anyone, including schools, wishing to travel to site by minibus or coach will be charged at the normal car parking charge and will need to be booked in a minimum of 2 weeks before the event with the National Trust (contact details as above). Any unbooked minibus or coach will not be allowed entrance on to the property.

  • I agree to read and follow the information relating to Health and Safety available in the organiser guide.
  • I agree to carry out a risk assessment in advance of Beachwatch events and I will keep a written record of these assessments.
  • I will record the details of any accident or incident of concern during the event and report this to MCS.
  • I will give a Health and Safety briefing to any volunteers before events start.
  • I understand that I must not supervise young volunteers under 18 years of age, nor allow anybody who is not their legally responsible adult to supervise them (some examples of legally responsible adults include: their parent, guardian, school teacher or guide leader).
  • I understand that if no surveys have been conducted within three years my beach will become available for others.
