This sandy beach stretches from the Pier Bandstand to the rock Groyne at Lodmoor and is generally a quieter beach as it’s further from town.

Activities

Enjoy a bit of swimming and there are many activities at Lodmoor Country Park. During mis-summer there are swimming rafts anchored off the beach.

Wildlife and Walks

There are two RSPB Reserves nearby - Radipole & Lodmoor - 250 species of bird have been recorded at Radipole lake since 1945 and over 200 species of plant.
