Sand and shingle beach with a saltmarsh at the northern end, adjacent to the National Trust headland at Sand Point.

Swimming, fishing and golfing are popular here.

Wildlife and Walks

There are walks around the Weston Woods (South of Sandbay). Sand Point and Middle Hope (National Trust land for Sand Bay). This beach is noted for its diverse bird population, its saltmarsh and sand dune communities.
