A sandy beach in a bay between the towns of Saltcoats and Irvine with spectacular views of the Clyde and Arran. Popular with locals and tourists. The beach is close to the town centre and Saltcoats harbour and all amenities.


A good area for golf and there is a view point to the south of the beach, within Beach Park - further south still is Bogside Flats SSSI. have more information on local birds and SNH have more information on the SSSI & its expanse of estuarine saltmarsh and mudflats.

Wildlife and Walks

Saltcoats is within walking distance to the North and the long Irvin beach to the south. Bogside Reserve is nearby and is well worth visiting.
