Extensive sandy beaches are a feature of this part of the coast with superb dunes extending 14 kilometres south to Peterhead. There is a golf course to the north of the beach.

Wildlife and Walks

The dunes play host to a wide range of flora and fauna. To the south the Loch of Strathbeg is an important overwintering ground and migration staging post for wildfowl. The beach is just around the corner from the Moray Firth, which is resident to the worlds largest Bottlenose Dolphins.
