A traditional beach resort with a pier and beach huts. There are cafes and restaurants near the pier. Near the town the beach is mostly shingle.

Activities

Fish from the pier or enjoy other amusements and strolling along the promenade. Swimming and water sports are popular such as windsurfing and jet-skiing. There is a boating lake behind the beach.

Wildlife and Walks

Suffolk Coast National Nature Reserve is south of the beach and consists of three fantastic reserves which are well worth a visit: Walberswick, Hen Reedbed and Dingle Marshes.
