A sandy beach with some tidal pools, backed by a raised promenade lined with colourful traditional wooden beach huts. Low cliffs form the backdrop and beautiful cliff top gardens offer an alternative quiet area to sit and relax.

Activities

Swimming, surfing, canoeing and fishing are popular here. South of the beach are The Broads and a huge number of nature reserves.

Wildlife and Walks

The beach is on the Poppy Trail and County “Quiet Lanes” project gives access to the coast for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. To the north is Norfolk AONB and the National Trust’s Blakeney National Nature Reserve, which has a tern colony during the summer and grey seals breeding during winter.
