Situated to the east of the harbour, the beach has limited use as it is completely covered by the tide. There are restaurants and cafes in the town.

Activities

A couple of art galleries line the seafront, including the The Turner Contemporary Art Gallery and the Imperial Art Gallery. The Margate Museum looks out over the harbour where there is the Margate Visitor Information Centre.
