A very long sand and pebble beach with more rocks towards the west. Very popular with fossil hunters though beware of unstable cliffs.

Activities

The beach is next door to the Cobb, a 13th century harbour. Fossil hunting is popular. The scenery in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is exquisite.

Wildlife and Walks

There are walks from Undercliff to Seaton and via the beach to Charmouth. A coastal path guides visitors along the famous fossil-bearing cliffs. The area forms part of the West Dorset Heritage Coast.
