A mainly sandy beach backed by dunes and the small town of Hightown.

Activities

Sefton Coastal path runs past the beach, part of which is a cycle path. The area is popular with golfers and there is a sailing club nearby. The nearby estuaries are brilliant for wading birds and the area has some stunning butterflies and moths.

Wildlife and Walks

There is an extensive dune area home to varied flora and fauna, and part of the Sefton Coast Site of Special Scientific Interest. Lunt Meadows Nature Reserve is a little inland and Ainsdale Sand Dunes National Nature Reserve is to the north.
