The beach sits just in front of Druridge Bay Country Park, a nature reserve. The bay has an extensive dune system and nearby are meadows, lakes and gorgeous woodland trails. The Park’s visitor centre and café are open during holidays and at weekends.

Activities

A popular spot for water sports enthusiasts, horse riders, cyclists and walkers. There are several reserves behind the dunes. The centre of the beach is often used by naturists.

Wildlife and Walks

Coastal walks are possible - there are marked routes starting behind the dunes to the north of Cresswell and also north is a National Trust area.

Water samples are taken at this designated bathing water by the Environment Agency, during the bathing season, 15th May to 30th September.

Sufficient — meets minimum standards
