A stony upper beach with a large rocky area stretching seaward towards the Swinge and some sandy areas at low tide. The beach faces west into the RAMSAR designated wetlands site and out to the Burhou Islands, home to a puffin colony.

Activities

A popular spot for birdwatchers. Fort Clonque is next to the beach.

Wildlife and Walks

The western end of Alderney has been designated a RAMSAR site for wetland conservation and is home to a number of seabird colonies including puffins on Burhou islands ans gannets on Les Étacs.
