Located between Bournemouth and Boscombe piers. Easily accessible with local parking parallel to the beach. There is a café, a cliff lift and toilet facilities. It is also served by the land train, providing easy access along the seafront.

Activities

Popular activities here include: swimming, sailing, surfing, canoeing, jet skiing, paddle boarding, windsurfing and beach volleyball. Beach huts are also available for hire on this beach.

Wildlife and Walks

The cliffs along Bournemouth seafront have been designated SSSI’s and provide a habitat for rare species such as the sand lizard. Brownsea Island is just to the south with its tern colonies and the rare red squirrel its worth visiting.

Parking on seafront (accessed via car park entrance at Boscombe Pier). Pay parking also available on overcliff road.

Dog restrictions

 

Dogs allowed between 1st October - 30th April. Other sites on seafront available during summer months.

Cleaned daily during the summer and weekly the rest of the year.
