A large north facing bay on the east coast of Northern Ireland. There is a small sandy beached backed by the picturesque town of Ballygalley.


There is a golf course and cycling, boating, fishing, swimming are all popular pursuits in the area. Cairndhu House is of historical interest and is to the south of the beach.

Wildlife and Walks

Ballygally offers some great views for the casual walker and is a good base for exploring the surrounding countryside. Carnfunnock Country Park is south of the beach.

Water samples are taken at this designated bathing water by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency, during the bathing season, 1st June to 15th September.
