Allonby has a beautiful shingle and sand beach which forms a vast expanse of sand at low tide and has wonderful views of the estuary.

Activities

Horse-riding, kite-flying, windsurfing and kite-boarding are popular here.

Wildlife and Walks

Both the Coast Path and the Smugglers Way pass Allonby. The Coastal Path runs past the beach and the Smugglers way pass Allonby. This is within the Solway Coast AONB and the South Solway Mosses National Nature Reserve is not far inland.
