Join this beach clean to help us stop harmful litter from reaching the ocean and collect vital data that we can use to bring about positive change for our seas.

  • Meeting point:

    Meet opposite 23 Rossall Promenade, FY5 1LP for a 09:30 start. Everyone welcome on the beach including children and dogs accompanied by an adult. You do not need to be a member of our group to join in with a beach clean. All equipment including litter picker, gloves and a sack will be provided, dress for the weather and bring suitable footwear for a pebble/shingle beach. Suitable parking is normally available on the promenade at this location. Public toilets are a ten minute walk away and you will require a 20 pence coin. What to bring: We’d recommend you pack a rucksack with a few essentials like sunscreen, waterproofs, hand sanitiser, and perhaps some snacks and a drink (in a reusable bottle, of course).

What to wear: Dress for the weather, sturdy shoes suitable for a pebble / shingle beach are a must for protection.

Under 16s: To comply with our insurance, volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a parental / guardian consent form on the day by the beach clean organiser.

What to wear: If you're picking up litter with your hands it's worth wearing a strong pair of gloves - like gardening gloves - just to make sure you're protected. Sturdy shoes are a must for protection too.
