A map showing the Ryde East Sands To Puckpool Park beach stretch plotted on it

As part of our monthly beach clean and survey we will be surveying and recording the litter found on a 100 metre stretch of the beach to the east of the tower. If numbers permit we shall carry out a clean on the stretch of beach to the west too.

Families are welcome- we realise that young children may want to finish early and find the next exciting thing to do - so do please come along for as long or as little as you like.

Please bring your own protective gloves and litter pickers if you have them, though we are able to provide if needed.

Bring layers/sun protection as per the weather and some water

Get in touch if you have any further questions!

Also worth knowing…

What to bring: We’d recommend you pack a rucksack with a few essentials like sunscreen, waterproofs, hand sanitiser, and perhaps some snacks and a drink (in a reusable bottle, of course).

What to wear: If you're picking up litter with your hands it's worth wearing a strong pair of gloves - like gardening gloves - just to make sure you're protected. Sturdy shoes are a must for protection too.

Under 16s: To comply with our insurance, volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a parental / guardian consent form on the day by the beach clean organiser.
