PLANET AWARE MCS LITTER SURVEY/BEACH CLEAN FOR APPLEY DAY
Join this beach clean to help us stop harmful litter from reaching the ocean and collect vital data that we can use to bring about positive change for our seas.
As part of the Appley day celebrations we will be giving the beach a bit of love weather allowing by carrying out this months litter survey and clean.
We do a monthly beach clean and survey here so make sure you keep in touch for next months !
After surveying and recording the litter found on 100m of the beach we will have some time after to clean the rest of the beach and path.
Families are welcome- we realise that young children may want to finish or enjoy playing in the sand or find the next exciting thing to do - so come for as long or as little as you like.
Please bring your own protective gloves but we do have some.
Bring layers/sun protection as per the weather and some water
Please ensure you sign in and out to help us on the day
Get in touch if you have any further enquiries

Also worth knowing…
What to bring: We’d recommend you pack a rucksack with a few essentials like sunscreen, waterproofs, hand sanitiser, and perhaps some snacks and a drink (in a reusable bottle, of course).
What to wear: If you're picking up litter with your hands it's worth wearing a strong pair of gloves - like gardening gloves - just to make sure you're protected. Sturdy shoes are a must for protection too.
Under 16s: To comply with our insurance, volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a parental / guardian consent form on the day by the beach clean organiser.
