Join the Marine Conservation Society for a family-friendly beach clean and litter survey at Cleethorpes Beach, North of the Pier.

This event is open to all ages, but please note that under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Due to limited equipment, we kindly ask that you register your interest in advance to ensure your spot.

All necessary equipment will be provided for the clean-up. However, you are welcome to bring your own gloves if you prefer (gardening gloves work well). Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable footwear. Remember to bring water in a reusable bottle, as beach cleaning can be thirsty work!

We encourage the use of sustainable transport to the event. The local train station is a 5 minute walk from the beach. If you are driving, there is on street parking on North Promenade, and the nearest car park is Grant Street Car Park, postcode DN35 8AT.

The clean and litter survey will last between 60-90 minutes depending on how much litter we find. The nearest public toilets to the beach are located at Grant Street Car Park.

We'll be meeting at 09:30 for a 10:00 start, so please allow enough time to get down to the beach.

For any questions or additional information, please contact Charli Wilson at [email protected]

Hope to see you on the beach!<br />

Beach stretch details

This stretch covers the strecth of beach between the North Promendade Car Park and the Pier

Also worth knowing…

What to bring: We’d recommend you pack a rucksack with a few essentials like sunscreen, waterproofs, hand sanitiser, and perhaps some snacks and a drink (in a reusable bottle, of course).

What to wear: If you're picking up litter with your hands it's worth wearing a strong pair of gloves - like gardening gloves - just to make sure you're protected. Sturdy shoes are a must for protection too.

Under 16s: To comply with our insurance, volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a parental / guardian consent form on the day by the beach clean organiser.
