Gloves and litter pickers will be provided but you may prefer to bring your own gloves.  Litter pickers will be untouched by human hands for months.

Please let me know if you are coming so that I can call you if we have to cancel for any reason.   Phone me on  023 9222 1361 or 078 1143 5252 or e mail [email protected].  Please feel free to check with me on the day.

Please also tell me (or other leader) if you have a health problem that might cause any difficulty while you work.

Covid 19 Precautions

1.      Please don’t come if you have Covid 19 symptoms or have had recent contact with someone with symptoms.

2.       If you have not told me in advance that you are coming I will ask you to give me your phone number or e mail address.

3.       On arrival please collect a litter picker, gloves and bags and then move to form a group of 4-6.  Each group will be asked to go to an area of the beach where you can spread out to work.

4.       For the 100m section of the beach where we sort and count the litter for the MCS Survey two people will be asked to do the counting and up to 4 to collect litter and bring their buckets to the counting point.

Also worth knowing…

What to bring: We’d recommend you pack a rucksack with a few essentials like sunscreen, waterproofs, hand sanitiser, and perhaps some snacks and a drink (in a reusable bottle, of course).

What to wear: If you're picking up litter with your hands it's worth wearing a strong pair of gloves - like gardening gloves - just to make sure you're protected. Sturdy shoes are a must for protection too.

Under 16s: To comply with our insurance, volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a parental / guardian consent form on the day by the beach clean organiser.
