Welcome all, It's time for the Kemptown community to mingle in the shingle for this Autumn's Great British Beach Clean!

Meeting at the Bison beach bar for 3.30pm, where you can grab a take out brew, look out for the Woolly Wave marine yarn bomb trolley -  we will have a table marked.  Access onto the beach is through the gate to the right of Sea Laines, directly opposite the stairs dscending from Marine Parade (in case you are arriving later please come and find us on the beach)

We are starting off at the access point to the right of Sea Laines Swimschool at 4pm, covering the stretch in front of the Bison bar, along to the Volks railway, and the Banjo Groyne area as you head East towards the Marina.

Please bring with you gloves if required, and a litter bag, we will have some grabbers available, or you are welcome to bring your own.

As well as keeping our beach beautiful,  we will be carrying out a litter survey recording all of the items found along a designated 100m stretch, so every lolly stick, lost toy, glass bottle, or piece of plastic; we will record it.

Also worth knowing…

What to bring: We’d recommend you pack a rucksack with a few essentials like sunscreen, waterproofs, hand sanitiser, and perhaps some snacks and a drink (in a reusable bottle, of course).

What to wear: If you're picking up litter with your hands it's worth wearing a strong pair of gloves - like gardening gloves - just to make sure you're protected. Sturdy shoes are a must for protection too.

Under 16s: To comply with our insurance, volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a parental / guardian consent form on the day by the beach clean organiser.
